Our Mission

Recipes don't always speak your language. An American recipe calls for cups; a British one wants grams; a French one uses decilitres. Even within the same country, a "cup" of flour can weigh anywhere from 120g to 160g depending on how you scoop it.

CookingConvert.io exists to eliminate that confusion. Every conversion on this site is based on real measured densities for each specific ingredient — not a generic "1 cup = 240 ml" approximation that ignores the difference between flour, sugar, and honey.

Accuracy Over Estimates

Most unit converters treat volume as if it were weight. They'll tell you 1 cup = 240g regardless of what you're measuring. That works for water — but 1 cup of all-purpose flour is 120g, 1 cup of honey is 340g, and 1 cup of rolled oats is just 90g.

Every ingredient in our database has its own measured density, sourced from standardised culinary references and cross-checked against multiple laboratory measurements. When you convert flour, you get flour's actual weight — and same for butter, sugar, rice, and all 44 ingredients we cover.
